This notice explains the adult pilot. It is the same information shown in the app.
Why we use your information
We process your chats and practices so Wisemode can continue conversations, save exercises you request, apply usage limits, and record the consent and age confirmation you give before using the service. We do not use your content for advertising, and we do not sell your personal data.
What is stored
This includes message history in each chat, titles and field content of saved practices (such as grounding exercises and safe-place scripts), timestamps, your language preference, records of consent and age confirmation, daily message counts and monthly audio-generation limits, and encrypted audio files if you create them. Your name, email and profile photo come from Google when you sign in. We do not add advertising pixels or marketing trackers to the app.
Who processes it
The operator runs the application on cloud hosting; that provider stores the database that holds your account and workspace. When you send a message and request a reply, the relevant parts of the conversation are sent to Google Gemini to generate a response. If you choose AI voice for a safe-place practice, only the script text you saved is sent for audio synthesis. Google processes API traffic under its own terms; log or abuse-monitoring retention on Google's side may apply independently of your deletions in Wisemode.
Sign-in and hosting
Google handles sign-in; Wisemode does not receive your Google password. Your account identity, sign-in sessions and encrypted workspace content are stored in the operator’s PostgreSQL database. Generated audio is encrypted and stored in the same environment. The operator chooses hosting services and geographic regions; exact details depend on your deployment settings.
Your control and access
Wisemode does not connect you to a human therapist and does not share your conversations with third parties except the processors above—and only when you use those features. Saved workspace content is encrypted at rest using keys managed as part of the application. From settings you can export your data as JSON, delete individual chats or practices, or remove all workspace data to withdraw consent. Nobody at Wisemode monitors your chats live for clinical or emergency purposes.
Retention and deletion
Active workspace content stays until you delete it. If you use Wisemode without an account, chats are kept for 30 days and joined to your account if you sign in during that period; otherwise they are deleted. Deleting in the app does not instantly erase every hosting backup or third-party API retention copy; recovery from backups after intentional deletion may be limited. Before relying on the service with sensitive data, the operator’s backup and retention practices should be confirmed.
Important limitations
Wisemode is for adults 18 and older. It is not an emergency or crisis service; if you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services or a helpline. AI answers may be inaccurate or unsuitable; they are for reflection and psychoeducation, not diagnosis or treatment. Avoid entering names, contact details or other identifying information about people other than yourself.
